@APFlatley@GoPSUsports Had the exact same thought when I received that email yesterday. $330 for end zone row 95 (or $550 for the midfield equivalent) is an insane price for *primary sale*. I don’t even think resale tickets got that expensive back when the whiteout was a ranked matchup…
@APFlatley@GoPSUsports Was at my SO’s family reunion this past weekend and her Aunt, who’s had west side season tix for 27 years (iirc), said she isn’t renewing this year. Her seat location got turned into suites… price of equivalent seats doubled and they gave her the latest possible selection window
@RAILMag There are still 9 eastbound and 9 westbound trips on the Brunswick line. The Camden line retains 11 eastbound trains (4 AM + 7 PM) but increases from 10 to now 11 westbound trains. (Used to be 6 AM + 4 PM, now it is 6 AM + 5 PM)
@RigganRVA@DPW_RichmondVA@HenricoDPW_DPU Hi Phil. I live along the Brook Rd bike lanes and my office is on the north side of the Dumbarton x Staples Mill intersection. I want to start biking to work but noticed there is no crosswalk or ped signal at the Staples Mill intersection. Is that infrastructure coming soon?
College Gameday at a neutral site non-conference game in February is so bad.
There are only like 5 basketball Gameday shows every year and to waste one at a game like this is awful, especially with how many other places would be a great event for it
@PoolsMcPools@GfedGoCrazy (And yes, IU is the only team that I have “opting out” in this theoretical scenario… Couldn’t think of any major reasons why OSU / UGA / Texas Tech would swap out of the assignments above)
@PoolsMcPools@GfedGoCrazy Good point. Here’s what it could look like if teams are also given the option to “opt out” of their geographical assignment in favor of a bowl game with significant prestige and/or historical ties to their conference. Still a 20% reduction in overall miles traveled:
@MDOTMTAHolly We are currently stranded at Kensington with no way to get home to Dickerson because apparently the Brunswick Line is operating on an R schedule, even though there is no Alert for it. This is extremely frustrating!
What if we made a special road just for Ubers, and those Ubers seated 1,000 people so each person paid less for a ticket, and we ran those Ubers at predictable times of the day so one could depend on there always being a ride available
@ThunderWolf08 @TransITServices @mtamaryland@wmataGM Anyways I think that’s everything on my list. Hopefully some of these things can become a reality someday!
@ThunderWolf08 @TransITServices @mtamaryland But I think it could be a big draw for long-distance travelers, especially if Amtrak started serving the station. MTA could look to @wmataGM for an example… I passed by the overnight parking section at Greenbelt the other day - It had clear signage and great utilization
