Since I love maps and examining them, thought I'd put together some info. about Khi's urban flooding problems.
wish I had more tools to use layers and show the shift in this city's topography over the years. Nonetheless, I hope this makes for a good read.

@fnakhi I cringe everytime I see a post abt, "hey we made another flyover." 😒 Fr this car-centric model (and celebration) must end Khi needs an integrated public transport system that prioritizes access than 4x4 speeding on these lavish infrastructure projects. This and massive greening
Remember, citizens of the world!
If your fuel & gas prices finally come down and stabilise it’s because of Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts that helped bring ceasefire from Lebanon to the Persian Gulf.
We don’t need your thanks.
Just respect our Pakistan and its people.
Pakistan Zindabad! Peace through strength.
Every new tech that enters Pakistan is subject to forces that drive structural inequalities. For e.g. solar has made great progress but limited access to grid-tied folks due to structural issues. That is where the cynic emerges and fear takes hold.
Today Pakistanis are losing it at the thought of a Data Center being built in Pakistan
Someone said here a few days ago that deep down Pakistanis believe they don’t deserve to have nice things
People forcibly kept underdeveloped for so long I guess end up hating every new tech
Exemption from POS makes this an amnesty scheme. You can't go cashless on one hand, and give amnesty from the other.
This makes those who have installed POS and anyone who pays taxes seem stupid.
The 1% rate has no rational basis -- net margin of a small trader isn't more than 5-7%, no one is going to pay 15-20% of their income as tax, while declaring their top line as well.
Zero lessons learned in three years. The jokes write themselves now.
@Erum_Sangji It's going to pile up on the set of existing issues. Lost pedestrian spaces, more concrete additions, more heat. Jams causing more air pollution, noise. It's sad that PECHS has taken this turn
