Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold... ๐ช๏ธ Yeats' 'The Second Coming' feels eerily relevant today. Amidst rising extremism, institutional distrust, and global uncertainty, is the 'rough beast' of chaos slouching towards us? ๐ค #Geopolitics#Yeats#ChaosAndOrder
@_KithureKindiki KK MPs from Mt. Kenya will stage a fake "bolt out" and form another vehicle to split votes from the vote rich mountain. Just like all their other strategies, this will fall flat. They are OVER COOKED.
The Ol Kalou by election has delivered a clear message. Sovereign power belongs to the people.
No amount of intimidation, patronage, or abuse of State power can defeat citizens who choose to defend their vote and their Constitution.
Congratulations to MP-Elect Samuel Douglas Kamau Waweru on your victory. This is a win for democracy and a reminder that Article 1 of the Constitution is not just words. All SOVEREIGN POWER belongs to the PEOPLE.
To move forward as a country, Kenya must look beyond the next elections and realize that anyone who comes into office in 2027 must do the more difficult job of fighting to stabilize our battered economy. However, we must realize that the real destroyers of our economy are global players interested in the destabilization of Kenya to allow for capitalistic extraction. dealing with capitalistic extraction is not just an urgent National duty, but a global moral duty.
Delaying courts in favor of an internal process undermines the Constitutionโs emphasis on timely accountability (Article 10 on national values, Article 201 on public finance principles).
Proposing an audit as a prerequisite or alternative to court proceedings allows the executive to control timelines, access to information, and narrative. Judicial scrutiny, by contrast, operates under adversarial rules with cross-examination, discovery, and binding remedies.
The attempt by the Attorney-General and Treasury CS to halt this case is a diversion. The High Court has already affirmed jurisdiction, and Kenyans deserve answers on how nearly Sh7 trillion was borrowed and spent. Accountability cannot be outsourced or delayed the Constitution demands transparency, and we will not relent until every shilling is accounted for. The law cannot wait for a forensic audit to determine if the Constitution was violated.
