Our capacity to really live (really living = to experience, sense, love, learn, grow, heal, expand, manifest, share, support & give back in all the ways we AUTHENTICALLY can in this lifetime) is limited to our levels of emotional, mental, physical & spiritual well-being. So getting it right on the inside and getting aligned in our lives is our first order of business in this life. Let’s go.
Untreated ADHD can ruin lives. Especially in adults.
And a LOT of adult ADHD goes untreated, because a LOT of people in our culture have been convinced it doesn't exist.
@Theholisticpsyc This is such a great thread - shows that you can really never tell what somebody is going through internally.
It would be so useful if we could test what state our nervous system was in, is that a thing?
I’m in the honeymoon stage of studying a new topic.
I’m diving deeper whenever I have free time, my handwriting is neat as hell, I’m hyper focused and I want every last detail.
It’s going to be interesting to see how long this energy lasts 😅
This podcast… every. single. word. 👏🏼
In awe at how brilliant Jay is at articulating his thoughts and opinions.
I’ll be rewatching and taking notes for sure!

@Theholisticpsyc Also, accountability. We are all human and mistakes are a part of life. Teaching our kids that we too can hold our hands up, apologise and have difficult conversations is so important.
@Theholisticpsyc So true, and leads to a lifetime of internal struggling.
I think one of the most important roles of a parent is to heal, understand and manage your triggers before allowing them to pass down to your littles.
Aiming to balance your time between doing the things you love, spending time with the people you love, and serving the causes you love is a life well-lived.
Accept that the balance won’t always be equal, and that’s okay. Breathe deep and practice patience 😌
As a mama of young kids, I’d argue that getting up before my littles each day, even just 30 mins, is the single most important self-care habit that keeps my mental health on track.
The crux is, it’s really hard to do that when your babies keep you up all night long 😬
@DrDoyleSays This makes so much sense to me. I always felt like therapy is a place to a) piece together your thoughts and emotions and b) be seen. Then the rest of the work is done outside of those therapy sessions.
When I was 10 years old, I was diagnosed with a disease that stopped me from walking for 6 months.
By 16, I'd dropped out of high school and abused drugs & alcohol
And in my 20s, I went from a janitor to a high six-figure net worth
Here's how I turned my life around:
@TrainingMindful I love this. I used to think being alone meant I was lonely, but recently realised that it’s more lonely to be around people just to avoid being on my own.
Now, alone time is a priority for me and for the first time in years I’m actually getting to know myself 🫶🏼
Yoga without mindfulness = lots of physical benefits, zero mental benefits.
Yoga with mindfulness = a powerhouse for mind, body and soul with infinite benefits.
Yoga has a positive impact on my mental health, but only when I carve out the time to truly appreciate it.
You can mindlessly practice yoga.
I did for years.
The ADHD brain thrives on constant information.
If you don’t give it something positive and productive to focus on, it will cling to whatever information is available and run away with it.
This could be negativity, could be misinformation. It’s a daily lottery.
Take control!
Instagram’s mute button is your best friend.
I used it on 95% of my ‘following’ list and all aspects of my life have transformed.
I’m more present with my kids, I have more mental clarity, and most importantly I’m in the drivers seat when it comes to my social media usage.
