I’ve always been amazed by those in the medical profession, especially those who have endured schooling and residency in the Philippines. What an honor to read these stories and to experience the emotions you felt. Thank you for this masterpiece, Dok! @ronibats
Almost finished with this book by @ronibats. I was browsing online when I saw this as a must-read. I NEEDED to get a copy! I asked my dad purchase it in Manila and bring it to Tokyo where I met up with him. I then brought it back to Canada where I am thoroughly enjoying it.
Seeing posts about the Bean 2.0 sitting squished underneath a luxury apartment building in Tribeca prompted me to research the artist. I’m astounded by Anish Kapoor and the Vantablack controversy.
I’ve been waiting to get picked up at LAX for an hour now (crazy traffic!). Not even complaining because I get to witness the holiday reunions and sappy welcomes 🥺💕
shout out to everybody who’s unlearning the old habits that won’t serve them in their next chapter of life. letting go is difficult, counterintuitive, and disorienting. it’s also worth it.
Had to work on code with a foreign language and somehow, that reignited my love for poetry.. Studying one of my favorite poems, Puedo Escribir by Pablo Neruda, in Spanish & English side by side. The original version already feels a little bit more profound.
there is nothing more attractive and more powerful than someone remembering who they are again. seeing them swim in their true essence after an extended time stuck at shore, seeing them return back to themselves of old, but dealing with the waves differently now.
