I have a new lottery proposal…
- worst record gets the 1st pick
- 2nd worst record gets the 2nd pick
- 3rd worst record gets the 3rd pick
- 4th worst record gets the 4th pick
- 5th worst record gets the 5th pick
- 6th worst record gets the 6th pick
- 7th worst record gets the 7
Dan Orlovsky and Ty Simpson are represented by the same agency (CAA)
I have no idea if that is impacting his ability to analyze this QB class objectively but it is tough to watch his analysis of Fernando Mendoza here and not think it is
The NFL has always fundamentally misunderstood why it is such a cash cow, but if their lust for more games leads to random deactivations of fantasy stars on Sunday mornings, they will seriously damage that hobby for casuals, which would be the biggest misstep yet.
Key quote from PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp: "The sports business is not that hard. Just think like a fan and 9.5 times out of 10 that's probably the right answer."
The right (and easy) thing to say, yes, but something that simply hasn't been done in golf for a long time.
Alec Pierce has drawn 11 DPIs since 2024, tied with Ja'Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson for 2nd-most in the NFL, and trailing only CeeDee Lamb (13)
Pierce makes defensive backs uncomfortable downfield, and hidden yards still count!
Been preaching this approach for years-- if you have a young QB on a bad roster, build up the offense. If he's progressing and playing well, it provides hope for the entire operation. Not all 5-12 records are the same.
Ty Simpson would be like QB7 in next year’s class.
I’m not saying that top-15 or top-10 cant or won’t happen. I’m saying that anyone involved with that decision will be clearing out their desks 10 months from now.
Since 2016: QBs with less than 20 starts to be drafted in the first 3 rounds
Kyler Murray
Trey Lance
Mac Jones
Dwayne Haskins
Mitch Trubisky
Anthony Richardson
TY SIMPSON
Davis Mills
The only hit here is Kyler who had a valid reason why he only started 20 games (2 Sports)
Breece Hall would be the 4th-highest paid RB on a per-year basis if he was franchise tagged. More than James Cook, Josh Jacobs, Jonathan Taylor, Kyren, etc. That wouldn't make sense to me.
