Simba has always been an indoor cat. Living in rented homes, I always struggled to give him a good safe balcony with a view. The Dehradun house had a view but no birds etc to entertain him. So, when I was designing this home, this corner was planned as a Simba corner from Day 0. I wanted him to have a perch where he could look outdoors, rain, sun or snow. It's his favourite spot ever. He has a routine of being perched here, especially between 2-6 am in the morning. He gets to exercise his night vision. I think he has seen the leopard that prowls around our house, jackals, mice, deer, birds... He sits and watches the dogs play or humans farming. The occasional 🐒 comes up to the window to say hello! Gives me so much joy to watch him use and enjoy the space created for him.
