Always good chopping it up with great and inspiring @CoachCJBrooks at @SEBARoundball

[SEBA Atlanta @SEBARoundball]

Some clips of Atlanta basketball legend @CoachCJBrooks super inspiring speech at the SEBA All-Star Shootout. We are incredibly blessed to have Coach Brooks as a huge part of the SEBA family for over 17+ years now. No one does it better!

SEBA All-Star Shootout

Class of 2027 Standout

Abel Trotman (6’0; PG; Sprayberry HS) was one of the top overall playmakers in attendance. Cat quick with a tight handle, Trotman is dangerous off the dribble and has great court vision. He consistently put his teammates in position for easy buckets and makes those around him better. Defensively, he puts strong pressure on the ball and anticipates well in passing lanes. A formidable scorer in his own right, he consistently gets in the paint and glides thru contact for smooth finishes. Really like his potential and ability to serve as a Floor General at the next level.

Amare Temple (6’0; CG; Seckinger HS)
Is an impressive guard who was among the top scorers in attendance. Put up points at a high clip. He relentlessly attacked the paint with his quickness and knows how to finish strongly off two feet around the rim. Exhibited a variety of floaters, pull-ups, and soft touch layups in traffic. Solid spot up shooter off the catch. Named First Team All-Region last year as a Junior; we expect Temple to have a monster Senior season and be an All-State Candidate.

Morion “MJ” McWhorter (6’6; Forward; Therell HS) was one of the elite rebounders in the camp. High Academic Prospect (1390 SAT/ 28 ACT) is an absolute bull in the paint. Morion owned the offensive glass and repeatedly created second & third chance opportunities for his team. He is a formidable scoring presence on the lower block and uses his physicality to create advantages. Aggressive interior defender who can also adequately switch out and guard on perimeter. All-State selection last year as a Junior in leading Therell to Class 2A Final Four. He is primed for a huge Senior Season.

Jordan Wiseman (6’2; Guard; North Cobb Christian) had an impressive showing in helping lead his team to the 5vs5 Championship. Athletic wing guard who plays above the rim. Several impressive dunks on day. High energy; runs floor hard in transition, attacked the offensive glass, and was constantly around the ball on both ends of the floor making plays. Aggressive on ball defender.

🚨 White teenagers in Florida left their Black friend Marquise to drown in a river while taunting him with slurs and monkey noises from the shore.

Marquise couldn’t swim well and was wearing an ill-fitting child-sized life jacket. A kayaking family rescued him as he feared for his life.

He said his “friends” expected him to swim back alone. This kind of racist behavior is disgusting and should be investigated.
