We stand by our call, and the call of Andi Perez, for Rep. Zabel to resign. We hope he gets the help he feels he needs, but he is correct – his behavior has no place in the legislature and he should no longer be a member of the PA House.
In case it wasn’t clear, standing with Andi means that I fully support and echo her call that Rep. Zabel should resign immediately. Standing with Andi and other victims means holding their harassers accountable.
We fully support Andi Perez and join our partners at @SEIUPA to call on Rep Zabel to resign.
Our statehouse has NO room for harassment of any kind and hope that the newly enacted House rules create systemic change against sexual harassment. https://t.co/YW5dfEwq8e
Thank you Andi for your leadership and bravery and getting real changes to the House rules that will protect more victims in the future. Those changes are long-overdue after years of inaction.
I have the right to share my story of harassment when and how I chose. Anyone who does not respect that is not an ally. Thank you to everyone who made the rules change possible, & everyone who sent support my way 💛💜
News: Andi Perez, the lobbyist who said she was sexual harassed, has publicly identified state Rep. Mike Zabel (D., Delaware) as the perpetrator and called for him to resign.

Thanks to many of you who have called or text in support and to say I am courageous. I am only as courageous as my support network. Shout out to my fam, friends and most of all my union. #ruleschange#believewomen#seiu#unionstrong@32BJSEIU@SEIUPA
As someone who lobbies the legislator on behalf of my Union I am unprotected from harassment. I do not have the ability to file a complaint under the current rules. It is time to change the rules!!!
Hey all! Forbes and Craig St partners need your help. The level of union busting they are experiencing is unique and, most of all, a severe blow to morale. Please stop by their store and order your coffee #UNIONYES to show strength and solidarity as they face this threat.
And just like that, the number of Pittsburgh stores who have filed has doubled from Two to Four!!! Welcome Market Square and Craig St to the movement!!!!
