For a country thats so poor... we are so classist. It doesn't make sense.
The basics in other parts of the world are considered "luxury" at home.
A meal in a nice restaurant is a flex anywhere in the world... but if the luxury is basic food, we are doing too much.
The so called "rich" are so disconnected from people who cook for them... people who take care of their children... people who drive them. Don't you even care for your life? How do you not know where your staff live and how they get to work?
We are too poor for this behaviour oh! People are going through hell! And they have to come to your house and you act like you are living in the same bubble? Abeg na
And its across board... see how nannies and drivers treat each other depending on what they earn and who their bosses are. I have observed and listened to all sorts of rubbish. Its us. We need to get a full mindset change!
You want to change the world?
It's a long... painful... difficult... thankless ambition.
You'd first have to build yourself... ensure that you imbibe the things you wish to see in the world. You have to live it until it becomes who you genuinely are. You have to believe it enough to trust that this journey is your idea... even when the outcome is not sure.
Then you pour so much into yourself that you start to spill unto people around you. Your family. Your community. Your impact must be felt and people must never not know where you stand.
Then you realise... the best you can do is change the world around you and hope that others are doing the same. Then you connect to those doing the same and build that bubble up.
Don't wait until you have all the answers. All the answers you need are along the way! You won't find them if you do not move forward.
The destination is in the journey. The story can only be told if there is an adventure. Write yours!
I wish you the knowledge, wisdom, courage and strength to pursue your purpose and embark on the adventure of your life!
God, i rebuke every spirit of laziness within me. replace it with discipline, focus, consistency, ambition, and strength. guide me toward success, protect my mind and path from negativity, and bless the work of my hands. AMEN.
To every version of myself that I despised.
To every hug I truly wanted, and every cry for help that I needed but didn't ask for โ for fear of rejection, or the fear of a debt I didn't want to owe.
To every mistake I have made that taught me a valuable lesson โ from losing money, to losing friends, to losing trust.
To every young child who bullied me and made me promise: never again.
To everyone, including family members, who said I would not amount to anything in life...
To every heart I have broken... and to the ones who retaliated on behalf of those they never met...
For every time I loved and was never loved back... and to everyone who loved me and I never loved back.
For every business that failed โ the ones I laughed about, and the ones that broke me.
To somehow finding money... from toil, or just oil on my head...
To losing life-changing money and somehow still staying alive.
To the never-ending fights with depression, imposter syndrome, discomfort, and fear...
To the never-ending conversations and eventual friendship with depression, imposter syndrome, discomfort, and fear...
To building things that fail more times than those that succeed โ and calling it part of the process.
To friendships I wish I never converted to business...
To friends I still miss dearly... but glad they are still alive and well and thriving...
To love! โค๏ธ
To family... and offspring.
To keeping promises... like leaving a section of my board untouched for 3 years. Lol.
To temptations and trials and tribulations...
To the scorching sun and heavy rains that built a man who could take some of life's punches...
Ooohhh, to life's punches... making a man of a boy.
To homelessness...
To bad decisions and consequences...
To success and its short-lived euphoria...
To meaning and purpose... finding something bigger than me.
To God's calling...
To seasons โ may we make the most of each of them!
To prophecy... the ones that come because a covenant was made!
To harvest โ "Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over"!
To me... every version I have despised and loved and endured and appreciated โ it's been an amazing journey that has led me here!!!
To the future โ Happy Birthday, Godwin Tom!!!
You are, and you have, all you need.

Started @cbaforafrica out of CURIOSITY , then I moved into a state of CONFUSION but what stood out in all of this is the strength to always trust the process because thatโs what will prepare me for the outside world which is chaotic! #CBAForAfrica26

There are days at CBA where I sit in class or on calls and feel like I somehow slipped in by mistake, like everyone else understands things faster, speaks more confidently, or just fits better. That quiet voice of imposter syndrome can get really loud in those moments.
Before joining @CBAforAfrica, I had always been curious about how the music business truly works. I wanted to understand how songs get pushed to the world, how successful managers and labels help artists grow and stay relevant for decades,
