🚨🎙️ Jamie Carragher on Ousmane Dembélé and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia performance in the Champions League Final against Arsenal;
“Let’s not dress this up. Ousmane Dembélé has escaped criticism for far too long in this game – he always has. But that performance yesterday in the Champions League final against Arsenal? That should’ve blown the whole thing wide open and put him right under the microscope.
Apart from stepping up and sticking that penalty away, he was an absolute non-factor. Invisible. Did nothing. No threat, no drive, no moments. Just floating around the pitch like he was scared to get hurt again.
And it’s the same story with Kvaratskhelia! The Georgian was anonymous the entire match – quiet as a church mouse, offered nothing, never looked like beating his man or creating a single danger. He wins the foul for the pen and suddenly everyone’s raving, but come on… that’s not good enough at this level. Not in a final.
These two lads are supposed to be world-class attackers, the difference-makers for PSG. Instead, Arsenal had them in their pockets for 120 minutes and PSG needed penalties and a bit of luck to scrape through. If you’re relying on one penalty and one clever foul to get you over the line in a European final, that tells you everything you need to know.
They’re getting carried, they’re over-hyped, and it’s about time someone said it out loud. This expose should be the start of proper scrutiny, not another round of excuses.”

🚨💥 Adi Hütter to Eintracht Frankfurt - DONE DEAL ✔️
Full agreement reached. Hütter’s return is complete. 56 y/o will become the successor to Albert Riera. Contract until 2029. Signing scheduled for Sunday.
Hütter impressed during the talks. #SGE want to secure his experience and authority, hoping he will bring stability and calm back to the club. @berger_pj@SkySportDE 🇦🇹
@TeamDorling Can imagine his salary being the issue to be fair, and can’t really see VfB paying a decent fee just to halt Seimen’s development. Especially after the comments from Wohlgemuth today
Seimen most definitely looks ready for the step up. Such a calm and composed performance in a game of this magnitude.
Obviously, Champions League football will be a big test, but with how he’s adapted this season, can’t see it being long before he is 100% up to speed

@JackLUFC1919 Stach being out is just criminal...
Worried about the lack of left-sided players too, especially after the season Führich and El Mala have had.
@dan_villafan This is actually this season’s home kit. The red one is just for Europe. They rotate every few years between white/red being the main colour.
The fans have been wearing white for European games this season though
Come on mate, Villa have spent double in three and a half years than Freiburg have in their entire history, and that’s a problem for European football as a whole.
I don’t think we can complain about ticket prices etc in England then take digs at a league where clubs remain in control of the supporters
@Gary_Poynton Oh yes, a club 100% fan owned nowhere near on the same financial level as their opposition tonight are “pathetic walkovers”.
It’s an amazing achievement for them to be where they are.
Villa good value for their lead here, but as expected, this is a perfect indicator of where the PL has what can be classed as an unfair advantage in 2nd and 3rd tier European Competitions.
Freiburg’s record transfer is close to Youri Tielemans’ annual salary.
A few words on Freiburg for Villa News.
A club I’ve been fascinated with since my first trip through the Black Forest, who deserve every bit of praise thrown their way.
Pleasure covering them over the years, should be cracking game 👇
