Really like the long term upside with 6-3 Estonian guard Oliver Kullamae.
San Jose State lands one of Estonia’s best youth PG’s, blends playmaking and handle creation for an exciting watch
Averaged 11.3 PPG, 3.4 RPG and 8.6 APG during the last two U18 euro championships for Estonia
Had a nice season at SoCal developing and adjusting to the speed and physicality in the US, a fun upside swing for San Jose State.

@LoganPAdams Sure but saying that the ranking they had in high school is more valuable than anything when they were productive in college is off base. Wagler was unknown and will be going over Koa (won everything in hs) and Meleek (OTE media machine)Production in college is very clearly king
If you want to go one-and-done in the NBA, I think the body of work you put in in high school towards your RSCI and media hype is more valuable than anything.
@LoganPAdams Koa started on the second best team in college basketball, Meleek was second best player on a 4 seed and Ament averaged 17 as a guy who didn’t take the sport seriously till high school
You can pick them apart as prospects but they didn’t flop in college and still get drafted
@swamy_akilesh@bjpf_ I completely agree. I definitely thought Jalen Davis was a 1 last summer but has been in a different role this year even with his AAU team but think that is a choice rather than the position he is glued to
@bjpf_ Heard you I love Jalen think Daughtry is more advanced offensively especially as a 1 and then JBB and Soliman are easier to projected because of their size but he would be top 5-7 for me still
With ANGT done, the biggest debate in international youth hoops is more prevalent then ever
Who is the top 2009-born player playing in Europe right now? What order would you place them in?
I really think Kelvin Odih could be a 15 ppg guy at a MM+ next year while also being an all league defensive guy.
Didn’t get a ton of run at St. John’s this year.
Has some real tools on both sides of the ball.
It’s fine to run zone *some* in any AAU game 14U and older. Any younger you’re stunting development and avoiding teaching general principles. Frequency going too high in older age groups can hide a kids individual ability but physical tools and engagement level should still show
Spurs just ran zone on the Thunder in OT and won the game but AAU coaches are ruining kids by playing zone? HS basketball just desperately needs new evaluators. They don’t want to do the work of scouting through a zone. That’s an evaluator problem not a defense problem
