With Pesalink, the need for Mpesa has reduced.

Vendors already accept payments via their bank accounts via Mpesa Paybill.

The issue with PesaLink is the UX. Currently, it's not standalone. It's deep in those bank apps.

They could do what Zelle does in the US and make it a standalone app. Abstract the bank account details. Let everyone have a Pesalink ID.

A few years ago I bought motor insurance from Corporate Insurance Company because they had the cheapest premium.

Later I had an accident that resulted in a write-off claim.

They were very quick to have the logbook transferred, but never paid the claim. IRA basically sent one email and never helped, and I wasted years trying to chase the claim in court. This year the company collapsed.

Cheap insurance can become very expensive when you actually need to claim. Choose your insurer carefully — not just the lowest quote.
