@paulenglish1961 My first derby at Maine Road, stood in the old uncovered scoreboard end. Don't remember the Kidd/Bowles altercation, and it's surprising as I think they were buddies, both coming from the Middleton area. There's a picture of them together watching a Sunday morning amateur match.
@paulenglish1961 My favourite Denis Law goal. Overhead kick at the Stretford end, all happened in the blink of an eye. Me and my mates were down the front behind the goal so had a great view ๐
@PaulCun56694467@paulenglish1961 It was also around that time we also sang to Moore 'where's the bracelet Bobby Moore, in your handbag' after the kerfuffle at the world cup in Mexico. West Ham couldn't get near Bestie that day, he was on another planet ๐
@paulenglish1961@AlexStepney1 My first derby, aged 11. Was in the United road with my dad, who was a blue, though I'd rather have been with my mates in the Stretford end ๐ซข
@mufcinfodotcom He had an accent very much like Matt Busby. When we were kids at OT in the mid-60s we used to think it was Busby playing a few records over the tannoy before the match, just before he did the team talk ๐คฃ
