Over the last few years, the back to school project has been about more than just giving school supplies.
Through this initiative, we have been determined to give students in low-income communities the tools and confidence-boost they need to succeed.

Six weeks of creativity and impact.
Our Ray of Hope beneficiaries have poured their hearts into crafting tie & dye, upcycled products and handmade designs.

The Adire(tie & dye) trainees fully began the theoretical part of their class last Saturday and they were all very excited to display the colours and patterns they had created.

The upcycling trainees continued with their creation of no-sew bags from waste leather.

For the second week of the Ray of Hope initiative, the trainees were completely focused in their individual classes.

The trainees of the upcycling classes had a more hands-on experience as they created no-sew bags from waste leather...

The Adire(tie & dye) class has now learnt the basics on identifying the right textile to work with and different patterns they can design.

The trainees of the crochet class made good progress as they made small sized purses in the bid to master the art.

We are hopeful and positive that the next 5 weeks ahead will be productive.

Last Saturday, we kickstarted the third edition of the Ray of Hope initiative; a 6-week empowerment program.

From the crochet class, to the tie & dye (Adire) class and the upcycling class, the trainees were enthusiastic about learning.
