Typical dev builders are pretty bad at marketing. But it goes deeper than that.

They don't actually WANT to do marketing.

More and more I see this as MY new mission.

Cause I see a lot of readme files with zero screenshots.

Or tweets written in technical language emphasising how product is BUILT instead of what it does.

And my inner voice goes DUUUUDES, I DON'T EVEN...

To make your product visible, you need to spend time or money or both.

I feel many of you could use my help because I have some experience in creating content worth 50,000 tweets and 3,000 videos on YouTube.

And yes I know it sounds salesy and it's a weird tweet to post but I honestly feel it as my mission because I see so many potential products that are just not seen enough.

Because Genius developers are too busy in their labs creating the product and that's what they would prefer to continue doing. They don't have energy for marketing.
