Racialized and marginalized communities NEED better access and communication when it comes to vaccine access. Folks waiting for hours only to be turned away? This is not ok.
Take the Canada Press Freedom Questionnaire. Your insights will help @jsource track press freedom violations and create tools that best serve media workers, organizations, students and researchers.

Happy 4/20! For @Refinery29, I spoke with Vivianne Wilson (the first Black woman to own a cannabis company in Canada) about how our country still has a lot of work to do in centering Black people in this industry—and what she’s doing to change that.

@rjjago Hi Robert. I’m so sorry to hear this. My sincerest condolences. I have some of raw b-roll video, audio, and lots of photos. Will message you directly to figure out to get this over to you asap.
It's necessary to figure out how to track these incidents (knowledge is power and all). Because although the impact is felt by most media workers, it's often disproportionate (intersecting w/ systemic issues), and women + BIPOC folks in the industry face x2 or x3 the effects.
Word is out already, but (Hello!) over the past few months I've been working with @jsource to lay the groundwork for the Canada Press Freedom Project. It will be a really important resource for media workers and is a project i'm excited about! Here's why: https://t.co/3SFJmhIeA9
Over the past few years there's been a big shift in public attitudes towards the press. This has inevitably been felt by media workers in their jobs (See: mounting safety concerns when covering protests, journalists being harassed on socials, etc)...
This was from a few years ago at @UBCJournalism. Just found this photo the other day & realized @_collinsmaina was in the class! He’s seriously one of the best or the best producer/director we’ve had on @bctoday. It’s a high pressure/fast paced job&he does it all incredibly well.
