@Artemisfornow Remember the government (and any government) aren’t government for the people, they govern on behalf of the crown. The king is above the law, by normal people aren’t defending against the state, the are defending against the crown. That’s what a monarchy is, we all serve them.
@NPC_qed@MelJStride@TheSun Many people can’t afford to. 40/50 years ago in single income households with bigger families that was possible. Now smaller families, and two income households struggle to live. This would massively disproportionately affect the poorest in society.
@ThePapaCars@cezthesocialist Isn’t the man who convinced you all to ‘raise the colours’ in custody for creation of child porn? Now seems a really weird time to be chucking those lies around
@crowningred@YOULIKEMYPACE Churchill was a horrible person. And honestly that’s what was needed to defeat evil. A good guy wouldn’t have defeated Hitler. People can be complicated, you can acknowledge Churchill done a lot of either while also acknowledging he was a leading force in defeating Hitler
@kamalahmednews@DAaronovitch@KemiBadenoch I’m not so sure reform voters will come back, take away her politicians as a first generation immigrant she is everything they hate. Secondly why is a smaller state better? Aren’t we paying for privatisation worse now than ever before
@Nigel_Farage@Keir_Starmer Has made those with the right skills want to leave for other western countries. By wanting to end migration it’s cutting British business off at the waist. You may want to lower migration, but it’s not a quick fix. And quick fix is the final killing blow to the UK
@Nigel_Farage@Keir_Starmer Well here’s the thing, the EU tightened up laws and got more control of legal migration. Brexit has caused legal migration to get worse.
We need to recognise a lot is broken in this country, we don’t train and educate people for the skills we need, and cost of living
@wpoel@afneil Because they are being bribed by billionaires who don’t actually want the country being fixed so need to find other people for the anger of British people to be directed at.
@wpoel@afneil We need to be very honest the country is fucked, for the past 40 years the country has been asset stripped for big business and dodgy political payoffs, we have nothing left. But this is why a lot of politicians want to play culture wars
@ReturnoftheSK@Ka1idor_369@nickdixoncomic Exactly the only things the people being protested and the Southport attacker had in common was they wasn’t white.
Southport killer, was born and raised in the UK, raised as a Christian and did not go abroad for an extended period of time. There is no link to him and immigrants
@Ka1idor_369@nickdixoncomic Or because they knew there is people in this country who are looking for any excuse to intimidate, abuse and even attempt to murder black and brown people in this country, and they wanted to try and minimise that.
@AlexFJFreeman @nickdixoncomic There is no political prisoners. There are people in prison for pleading guilty to laws such as incitement to violence and cyber security act. These laws where all put in place by a right wing (Conservative) government
@MichaelRealReed@nickdixoncomic We had an election less than 6 months ago. Threatening to try and over through democracy is the exact thing the terrorists you claim to despise have done in the Middle East.
@nickdixoncomic Or hears the thing, this doesn’t change the fact he is British born. Maybe we should be wondering why British people are attracting to extremism?
@tesssummers98@catmum91@nickdixoncomic It incited people to try and burn down a hotel that people was inside off, so yeh was an incitement to violence.
The actions of one man no matter how evil, does not justify the attempted murder and violence of others
@Jack_J_Davison @darrengrimes He didn’t pass away in prison he committed suicide.
One person done something deplorable. Since Jimmy Saville do you go and intimidate and burn down homes of elderly men who live alone? The actions of one man does not reflect on everyone of that gender/skin colour/sexuality
