[Open starter!]
Paula leaned against her apartment, cigarette in hand. Wisps of smoke curled around her, carried by the crisp night breeze. Lost in her thoughts, she didn't notice that someone was approaching her.
"..."
It took her a moment to respond back as she too was feeling both pain and a bit of guilt.
"Fine, just... Fine. You...?"
It was all she could say as she gently bit her lower lip. Looking at him through her shades, he hasn't changed much. He still resembled the lanky,+
His teeth, what was left of them, clearly gritted together in something between pain and frustration. He opened his mouth to speak, but it took a couple tries before he could muster it.
"Hi, Paula." His voice came out dry.
"How've you been?"
Her shaded eyes returned his gaze with surprise. This was the first time she'd seen Stu in... well, forever. The two stopped talking completely after *that* event.
"Hello, Stuart..."
She muttered quietly from where she stood, now putting out her own cigarette in the dirt.
@_Stu2DPot_ "You can't go wrong with some good breakfast. I'm more of a pancake person though."
After they had decided what to order, the diner waiter walked up to their table to take their orders.
"Alright, won't be long."
They said before they walked to the kitchen to begin+
@_Stu2DPot_ "Mostly breakfast and sometimes lunch. Never had a good look at what's on for the dinners."
There were so many options for them to pick from, it was difficult to choose just one. There was this Stew and Dumplings plate that sounded delicious. Perhaps she'll order that.+
@_Stu2DPot_ When the two entered the diner, she took a glance around. It was small, but it was made up for with some cute decor.
"What a nice place."
She said before they sat down at a table. She took a menu booklet and flipped through it. It had everything from breakfast to late-night+
@_Stu2DPot_ She wouldn't mind working at a diner, it looked nice. On most days, the place was quiet, and she liked it when it was like way.
"Can't wait to see what's on the menu. You should recommend some of the good ones."
She wasn't a picky eater either, so she'd eat just+
@_Stu2DPot_ She hasn't been to a diner since she was younger. There was one in her town, but she didn't go there very often. The breakfast menu was always really good.
"Local diner, huh? Sounds nice. Let's go there."
She smiled.
@_Stu2DPot_ She got into the car after him, closing the door and fastening her seatbelt.
What was she up for? She was still new to Crawley, so she didn't know what was open.
"Are there any good food places nearby? I'm up for anything really."
