Such an interesting piece that really highlights the changing environments within the West Cumbrian Iron Field around Egremont. Layers of hematite and sparkling specularite contrast dramatically against the bright yellow limonite banding and calcite core.

Starting the week off with this fantastic fluorite with chalcopyrite inclusions and scattering of calcites on the surface, some of which are double terminated. Super UV reactive as seen towards the end of the video. Illinois, Cave-in-Rock, Hardin County, USA.

Fluorite from Larkin's Quarry in Ireland. Vibrant purple cubic crystal with modified edges. There is a clear diamond-shaped window on the front face with striking lime green at certain angles within the diamond and outer edges. Fantastic addition to the collection.

Fascinating green fluorite cube with clay and quartz inclusions. Freshly applied to a new acrylic base to add to my display cabinet. D-Pit, Okorusu Mine, Namibia.

‘Ice cream cone’ fluorite from the Elmwood Mine in Tennessee, USA. Mainly clear with a hint of purple towards the bottom and hydrocarbon inclusions. Double dissolution Corner with a smaller fluorite on the side. Ex Arvid Eric Pasto collection (no. AEP1189).
