Merit and integrity win the day. We must be free to speak uncomfortable truths and challenge ideas, for the sake of an inspiring, cohesive future.

[Derry Shaw 🇬🇧 @_D_M_Shaw]

You were born in London, that makes you British.
It does not make you English.
English means the people of England, their history, language, and culture, not a box you tick because your parents settled in Tooting. Pakistani heritage is yours, keep it.
Calling it English is just a slogan.
And those identities do clash. Pakistan still jails people for blasphemy.
England spent centuries getting rid of that.
One tradition treats insulting religion as a crime.
The other treats it as free speech. Saying they “complement” each other does not make that go away.
St George’s Day is England’s day.
It is not a press release about how many labels you can wear at once.
London voted for you.
England is not London.

@ZackPolanski @MothinAli @rachelmillward A gay Jew that loves Islam thinks he can lead the UK, just go away you proper little weirdo.

@RabbiJeffx @grok I did ask for a simple yes or no answer but ok.

[Derry Shaw 🇬🇧 @_D_M_Shaw]

@RabbiJeffx @grok @Grok would it be reasonable to assume that whilst these two things happen to be true, it is simply just a freakish coincidence that this person is choosing to make use of to fit a narrative, simple yes or no answer.

@andyburnham Building terrible council homes all over the place with zero regards to infrastructure to house all you immigrants to secure your future votes. W⚓️

There you go -

1. Lower taxes, paid for by spending restraint
The flagship is “Reward the Nation’s Grafters”: raise take-home pay and cut taxes on work, saving, and business, funded only after spending cuts are in place.
Vehicles:
• Personal allowance up from £12,570 to £16,000 (party cost about £49bn a year), with the 20% band extended to £100,000 and the allowance restored to every taxpayer. Higher-rate thresholds stay put in the first Parliament.
• No corporation tax on the first £50,000 of profits (said to take about 95% of companies out of the tax), then a restored 19% main rate, with an uncosted aim of 15%. Bank levy and Energy Profits Levy phased out. IR35 scrapped.
• Abolish inheritance tax (party yield about £9bn), stamp duty in all forms, insurance premium tax, air passenger duty, and several green levies. VAT cut toward 18%, with the registration threshold raised from £90,000 to £150,000.
• Funding vehicle: about £35bn a year of cuts, building to roughly £178bn a year by the end of a first Parliament, earmarked for about £155bn of annual tax cuts. Cuts come from a working-age benefits freeze, replacing the pension triple lock with a CPI link, freezing quango budgets, ending net-zero public spending, and a three-year freeze on most departmental budgets (defence, health, and debt interest excluded). Tax cuts are meant to follow only once funded; growth effects are not counted in the costings. Longer aim: shrink the state from about 45% of GDP to about 33% over two Parliaments.

2. Welfare limited to British citizens, with work required
The party’s case is that working-age benefits (about £158bn, heading toward £207bn by 2030–31 on OBR figures it cites) are crowding out taxpayers, and that support should be a privilege of citizenship.
Vehicles:
• Freeze working-age benefits at 2025–26 cash levels for a full Parliament.
• Restrict them to British citizens: no access for visa holders, people with indefinite leave to remain, or illegal migrants.
• Require able-bodied claimants to do work (examples given include litter picking and graffiti removal), with benefits withdrawn for refusal.
• Keep the state pension, but replace the triple lock with an annual CPI link. Public-sector pensions moved from defined benefit to defined contribution.

3. Cheap energy as the route back to industry
The claim is that bills and industrial decline are driven by the Climate Change Act and net-zero levies, and that energy could cost “roughly a third” of today’s price without those policies. Ending related public spending is put at £15–20bn a year.
Vehicles:
• Repeal the Climate Change Act 2008; scrap the Climate Change Levy, Carbon Price Support, and Renewables Obligation funding; no new subsidies for renewables.
• New North Sea licences, end the Energy Profits Levy, make upfront investment tax-deductible, and lift the fracking ban under rewritten seismic rules. Possible Norwegian-style sovereign wealth fund from oil and gas revenue.
• A British fleet of small modular reactors (starting with Rolls-Royce units at Wylfa), life extensions for existing nuclear and gas plants, and new coal stations to cover closures. Planning approvals in months, with a “rule of positive silence” for consultees.
• Test for projects: more reliable supply at a lower system-wide cost. The party says bill cuts would take time, not be immediate.
Across all three, the stated mechanism is the same: cut the post-2019 rise in spending first, then use the saving for lower taxes on earners and a cheaper energy system for households and industry.

@b280c_2 @Tesla Pretty sure they are built in Berlin which isn’t set up for that blue.
Buy a white one and have it wrapped. 👌

Melanin is produced by cells called melanocytes, your genes that control how much you make and these set your baseline skin tone.
Those genes were shaped by natural selection over tens of thousands of years, so your ancestry’s latitude is baked into your DNA.
The logic is simple, near the equator, intense UV radiation destroys folate, which you need for reproduction, so dark skin was strongly favored. Further north or south, UV is weaker, and you actually need some sunlight to make vitamin D, so lighter skin became an advantage, letting more UV through.
That’s why skin tone tracks latitude so neatly across populations. It’s one of the clearest examples of evolution responding to geography.
I’m sorry to say it people, but even if all your ancestors lived in Great Britain for hundreds of thousands of years you would never turn black.
The argument comes down to whether we want to base ideals on facts or preferences. 🤷‍♂️
Example, claiming a woman can have a penis is a preference not a fact.
Personally, I prefer facts.

[Derry Shaw 🇬🇧 @_D_M_Shaw]

@BernieSanders How does somebody as
incredibly dumb as this Bernie guy, get into positions of influence? 🤷‍♂️

[Derry Shaw 🇬🇧 @_D_M_Shaw]

@On_The_Write @antmiddleton Preference is not a measurement.

[Derry Shaw 🇬🇧 @_D_M_Shaw]

I could never stand for a political position in any country of Africa or any on the continent of Asia.
Why is “diversity is our strength” only ever aimed at white nations?
Between June 24 and June 25 97% of population growth is attributed to foreigners moving here.
Why should we sit quietly and watch ourselves demographically replaced?
If stating facts makes me rascist, so be it.

@Foodlover52312 @basedandbougie @PatriotNetworkx @RestoreBritain @reformparty_uk Before going around calling strangers “fucking idiot” perhaps you should verify your claim.
These are all genuine Reform candidates.
There is an incorrect name spelling and a shortened name but other than that all real, not AI.

Preferring your own group and distrusting outsiders is a normal human setting, not a modern invention or a moral defect.
People bond faster with those who look, speak, and behave like them.
They extend more trust, more help, and more tolerance inside that circle than outside it.
The same pattern shows up in other social primates and in small children before anyone has taught them a racial theory.
Deny that and you are describing a creature that does not exist.
Coalitional bias is the default. Shared ancestry, appearance, language, and custom are the cues people actually use. High-trust cooperation is easier among people who already share those cues. Rapid mixing of groups that do not share them raises friction, lowers trust, and produces conflict. Those are measurable regularities, not slogans.

[Derry Shaw 🇬🇧 @_D_M_Shaw]

@Nigel_Farage 100 days! Pathetic, one day! Done.

[Derry Shaw 🇬🇧 @_D_M_Shaw]

@bbcquestiontime It’s not remotely contentious, the only people debating this are foreigners desperate to stake their claim and people who think along the lines of a woman can have a penis.
You are all so pathetic.

[Derry Shaw 🇬🇧 @_D_M_Shaw]

@Shazza1uk Haha, here’s mine.

[Derry Shaw 🇬🇧 @_D_M_Shaw]

@carbonsaveruk @SamCKx Whilst your level of condescension is impressive, it’s not worthy of engagement, so I’ll politely decline.
