Only love fat when it’s on boobs and buttocks, only love curves when it’s on the hips, it should be natural not plastic, otherwise it’s shameful. If our society could see pass through our clothing, why can’t we see pass through our skin, and fall in love truly on what’s within?

Filipina women are known to be beautiful, strong, intelligent, brave and kind. In line with the celebration of Women’s Month, which is last March, I decided to create five characters that represent Filipinas. I came up with Maganda, Malakas, Matalino, Matapang and Mabuti.
Tandang Sora provided food, shelter, and medical care using her own resources to the Katipuneros. She took care of them like her sons and protected them fiercely. She was punished by the Spaniards but she remained loyal to the Katipunan. She was the old lady they couldn’t break.
Gabriela Silang was a military leader or henerala. She successfully won their first battle in Santa. After the Spaniards devastating loss against Gabriela, the Spanish were insistent on defeating Gabriela. They had never before felt threatened by a Filipina woman.
