Maybe the craziest Russell Wilson stat(s):
In 2017 Seattle had 38 total O TDs.
He was responsible for 37 of them.
They had 5608 O yards.
He was responsible for 81% of them.
Only team in NFL history to have a winning record despite their top RB gaining less than *300!!* yards
Coach Kyle Shanahan has canceled next week's mandatory minicamp as a reward for 100-percent attendance this week and the work put in during the 49ers' offseason program, a team official says.
Time for 2026 DL Previews. Also time to explain what everything means. I tier every role from every player and will include where they should play on base downs as well as passing downs.
So what do these colours mean
Jumped up and down when we drafted the kid outta Wisconsin. Watched him lead us to the team’s first SB trophy. Had serious fallout when he schemed his way to Denver. But time heals all things.
It was so damn fun watching him play in a Seahawks uniform.
🚨 THIS IS NOT A DRILL 🚨
Aaron Donald texted Pat McAfee that the Rams' trade for Myles Garrett has "for sure got (him) thinking" about a comeback.
"Got to see if that fire can light back up." https://t.co/TGvarTXmFE
@realjeffsimmons@formfireglass At the end of the day, the guarantees are the real numbers on the contract and he did get more there than Mafe.
Win-win for both sides imo
🚨Aaron Donald's former Rams DL teammate @MichaelBrockers HINTS to me and @lockedonbush that he's heard #99 may ACTUALLY end retirement to play with Myles Garrett:
"(I have) some knowledge that others might not have... My guy is staying ready so he doesn't have to get ready"👀
The #Seahawks and EDGE Derick Hall have agreed to a 3-year, $42M extension with upside to $46.5M, per source.
A former 2nd-round pick, Hall gets up to $19M through the first year of the extension in a deal done by Chad Berger and Ezra Thompson.
Murphy is still younger than when Verse took his 1st NFL snap, just spearheaded 1 of the best run D’s in history with historically light personnel, T-3rd most IDL sacks, & him and Vea lead the league in 0/1/2 tech pressures by a MILE.
“There’s no planet” is not living in reality
@SeahawksForever I get the logic but realistically Garrett was the best swing for the 2026 season (if they could have made it work w/o dealing Murphy).
Anything in the realm of two 1sts mid-season would’ve likely been better off being used to broker the Garrett trade now imo
Adding some additional context to this…
I’m told there were those in the Seahawks personnel department in favor of being extremely aggressive in trying to acquire Garrett.
In the end it seems Schneider chose to hold the line and not stray from their process.
Will be fascinating to look back later and see how this works out for all parties.
I’ll have MUCH more on this tonight on the live show - including a list of other pass-rush options that may be available - but I was just told this by a well-placed #Seahawks source….
While John had multiple conversations with Browns GM Andrew Berry over the last several months, ultimately it came down to this:
“We weren’t willing to include any of our young talent.”
Byron Murphy is the guy they’d have had to offer up to compete with the Rams package. That wasn’t going to happen.
John Schneider decides to stick with their draft & develop process - knowing they’ll have the trade deadline available to them before we ever see the Rams again.
Let’s not forget Garrett was also being strongly pursued by JS before the deadline and pivoted to Crosby once it was apparent CLE would not trade him.
This was reported by several local beat guys at the time.
Also to all the replies about Verse being worth a 1st 👇
There were rumors that Seattle offered two 1sts for Crosby before the trade deadline last season.
Garrett trade got done with only one 1st and the cap hits are a fraction of Crosby’s.
But hey, at least we have $29M in cap space for a midseason trade for a lesser player #9Dchess
@treadedhar88854 They currently have $25 million in cap.
Here are Garrett’s cap hits the next 3 years for the acquiring team.
Yes, they can afford him.
