Hello Tech Twitter, Iβm looking for my next opportunity as a Mobile Engineerπ. Less than a year ago, I decided I wanted to become a mobile engineer and learnt Flutter from the ground up. That journey led to me working with a solid team on a production app in travel-tech where
@BusinessInsider At that point, some workers are not their major priority.
Which then brings me into the next discourse of the workers who are immune to AI layoffs (or layoffs in general). What do they know? What do they do?
what skill sets keep them in that number?
It's pretty interesting.
I just saw @BusinessInsider 's tech layoff interview stories and it's quite moving. One thing that keeps ringing in my head though is - "you are your responsibility." You on a job, getting paid well, shouldn't make you feel too safe or forget that at the end of the day, you..
@BusinessInsider your interests ( for a more firm word 'humanity') wasn't considered. It hurts but the way I see it, everyone is just trying to save their head. The company is trying to maybe make more money, follow the AI layoff trends to keep up with the AI workflow adoption everyone is on...
There is git switch ??
I have been using git checkout in my entire workflows and projects.
So, git switch is specifically intended for changing or creating branches π while git checkout is an older command that changes branches, restore files and can perform several...
One of the things that made Dart easy to pick up for me was Typescript.
Why?
Because both are statically typed languages. Easy to pick up a lot of errors during runtime and of course, type safety
Pretty cool languages
Where I draw the line, for me is, if you encounter that problem again, do you know to solve it?
Do you know why the error occured?
Can you explain and help another developer fix?
I mean, it's stackoverflow all over again but only AI is giving it's view. Lol
If Iβm writing code, encounter an error, copy and paste it into AI to understand whatβs wrong, and then implement the AIβs solution, does that make me a vibe coder?
@thejavabeast Sure I will.
I already checked it out online and I saw that it is only akin to Expo/React Native. I build with Flutter and even that ( signing an iOS App without a Mac) can be done with a VM.
Quite interesting. I'll read more about it and definitely try it out.
Thanks
