So if you use it in foo/default.nix, it doesn't pick up the rules from the gitignore from the higher dir:

@angerman_io @rsyncnet If you're going with this setup anyway: be sure to have the data somewhere else too (1 backup is no backup). Also test your restores regularly to be sure

@angerman_io @rsyncnet I think borg just has too many moving parts and correctness problems. Going after the holy grail (encrypted, compressed, differential) is difficult. I'd pick a technology which is a bit more stupid, and takes up more space, but that is more fault tolerant

@tpflug @chris__martin Had a hard time doing session reuse and some other things. I've found that it's pretty difficult to do anything with hs-tls that's slightly off the beaten path, so there's some work left there
