"Everything is permissible (allowable and lawful) for me; but not all things are helpful (good for me to do, expedient and profitable when considered with other things)."
(1 Corinthians 6:12)
The older I get, the more I realize that most of my problems are not mysteries. They are negotiations. I know what to do. I simply don’t want to pay the price yet.
When you really understand that “all things are lawful, but not all things will edify you”,
it will save you from so much confusion in your Christian walk
I wish more pastors and ministers of the gospel understood that at some point it’s not just about whether something is sinful or it’s not
It’s about the people looking up to you
It’s about their tender heart and faith
It’s about God trusting you with them.
Once again,
These are things you should come to terms with when you talk about Nigeria
📍No military coup will be successful
📍Nigeria will not break up
📍There won't be a civil war again
📍Nobody, and I mean even Albert Einstein CANNOT give Nigeria steady electricity in < 7years
📍Factories will not take us out of poverty. that era is gone
📍Agriculture will not take us out of poverty either. that era is gone
📍Our hope for wealth growth is Crude oil, Natural Gas, Finance, Technology & Banking, Services and human capital.
If you like be an idealist, it won't change anything.
Wishes are wishes. nothing more.
You either end up old and depressed about life in Nigeria or you come to terms with what I have listed above.
Finally, Nigeria started in 1999.
All those other rubbish before 1999 belongs in the trash
You won’t always feel ready.
Launch anyway.
You won’t always feel motivated.
Do it anyway.
You won’t always feel confident.
Post it anyway.
Discipline > Feelings.
Jake Paul accidentally explained the entire wealth inequality debate in 30 seconds.
Most people think billionaires have billions sitting in bank accounts. They look at Musk’s net worth hitting $700B and imagine Scrooge McDuck swimming in cash.
The reality: Musk himself says he’s “cash poor.” When he needed $44B for Twitter, he had to sell Tesla shares in chunks. Each sell-off dropped the stock 5-10%. His “net worth” literally decreased as he tried to access it.
This is why wealth taxes are so complicated to implement. You’re taxing an imaginary number that can’t be converted to cash at face value. A founder selling 5% of their company to pay taxes floods the market with supply, crashing the price of the remaining 95%.
The distinction matters because it shapes how the entire economy behaves. Musk’s $700B “net worth” is really just the market’s guess at what Tesla and SpaceX might be worth if you tried to sell them all, which you can’t.
Liquid wealth and paper wealth follow completely different rules. Most policy debates pretend they’re the same thing.
Sin programs. It's why we yield to the same temptation continually, like an alcoholic to the bottle. The sin becomes default setting. The technical terminology for such sin is the "sin which doth easily beseth" us. It has prompts.
They deceive young folks by clamouring for sexual compatibility before marriage as though married folks are unable to grow in sexual intimacy, the same way they can grow in love. This idea that your sexual preferences must be ascertained before your vows is backdoor degeneracy.

I've been in medicine long enough to know that it's the ones that insist on you not following guidelines because it hurts their feelings that turn around and sue you when things go belly up.
Don't play kalo kalo with your license. Always do things by the book especially when the person finds it offensive. Document to the tee and reference the guidelines in your documentation. You will just be smiling through that court case if it ever comes up. Like APC, na you go dey encourage Dem to go court sef.

"This is the best interview I’ve watched in the last 3 decades of my existence .
Perfect description of the country called Nigeria.
Thank you Dele Farotimi."
Every woman who comes into hospital, in reproductive age is pregnant until proved otherwise, don't even let misogyny things change this.
You will be saved from court cases of;
1. Giving drugs to treat something else and end up causing a miscarriage, most times some women don't even know they're pregnant, so you give them drugs to treat something else, they come back bleeding, to test, they were pregnant and now your drugs have caused a miscarriage. That's definitely a court case. As a doctor, you should know.
2. You will never miss ectopic pregnancies, we have seen women coming in with abdominal pain that has been managed as ulcers and a simple hCG confirms they're pregnant then a scan says they have an ectopic pregnancy, you endup saving their lives. Most women won't even know they're pregnant until a few weeks later. So treat all of them as pregnant until you're sure they're not.
3. Some women might know they're pregnant but forget to tell you or they might be pregnant and they're not aware, so you treat them for something else, they find out weeks later that they're actually pregnant, continue the pregnancy and since you gave drugs without considering pregnancy, the drugs caused birth abnormalities and remember these first weeks are when the baby is being made and many drugs can cause abnormalities in babies. She ends up giving birth to a deformed baby just because you assumed she is not, so you let her give birth to a baby that has no arms.
4. I remember a midwife who was almost scourged. She gave a woman with injectable family planning drug, the 3 months one that is injected on the arm when she was weeks pregnant but never thought to confirm that the woman is pregnant or not. Weeks later, she found out that she was pregnant afte developing terrible signs but she had already been injected with family planning drugs... A simple hCG would've saved the day...
And many more...
No one should change your mind on this... Every woman in reproductive age is pregnant until you prove that she is not. "An old senior consultant gynecologist told us this during medical school and it has helped me save a couple of mothers."
Being too busy stops you from thinking strategically. If you're doing strategy, you need to reduce the number of busywork you must do. Youn need free time to read, explore, have conversations and ruminate. This is what gives rise to good strategy.
