This week, #ECDP took a big leap forward in our rollout of #digital #signalling by introducing the first passenger service to use digital in-cab signalling on the East Coast Main Line.

Thank you to passengers for your patience while testing work was carried out.

Services to/from London King’s Cross are affected this Sunday, 15 March, by further testing of the digital signalling system between Welwyn Garden City & Hitchin, part of the £1.4bn @_ECDP.

Watch to see how digital in-cab signalling provides a proven system for better railways.

We’re thrilled to have achieved another important milestone on ECDP, which takes us one step closer to a digital future on the East Coast Main Line!

Thank you to everyone involved for your hard work and to all rail users for your patience.

We have produced a new animation explaining the benefits of digital signalling, ahead of more progress being made during engineering work this weekend.

The clip has been produced with passenger operator partners to explain what's involved and why the @_ECDP work is needed.

👷‍♂️This weekend, colleagues will be delivering major upgrades on the East Coast Main Line.

🚉This means there will be no direct services to or from King's Cross station.

📽️We've produced this video to explain what this work is, and why we're doing it.

Don't forget there are no trains in or out of London King's Cross this weekend.

This is because of continued track, drainage and overhead line upgrades, as well as @ECDP-related work.

Please check @nationalrailenq before travelling.
