I saw a clown say, “Have you noticed Peter Obi has faded?”
I thought to myself, faded to where?

Look At These Nigerian Police Officers. Tomorrow, These Same Officers Will Come Out And Start Crying That They’re Suffering And Being Underpaid. #FreeNnamdiKanuNow
Amnesty International strongly condemns the lethal use of force during today’s peaceful protests calling for the release of Nnamdi Kanu. Protesters, lawyers and journalists were subjected to atrocities that include, arrests, beatings, confiscation of cameras, as well as dangerous and reckless use of tear gas.
Once again, the Nigerian authorities have failed to respect and uphold people’s right to freedom of assembly. All incidents must be investigated impartially and the suspected perpetrators brought to justice through fair trials.
Nigerian police say they didn’t fire live rounds during the protest in Abuja.
Just like they told us nobody died during ENDSARS and they didn’t fire live rounds
#EndSARS: Even Though my People are Now in Love With Their Oppressors, October 20, 2020 Will Never be Forgetten or Forgiven — Mr Macaroni https://t.co/4Cm8uXTDiX
Despite propaganda attempts to spin the narrative , Oct 20th 2020 remains a day that peaceful youth of Lagos united across divides of class, ethnicity, religion and stood with one voice to demand better from their government and an end to police brutality. This stand was not politically motivated or sponsored.
The state brought violence against them twice , the first with thugs and machetes the second with the army. May the courageous souls lost continue to rest in perfect peace.
We remember.
20/10/2020 Never Forgotten
They said dey were stubborn, but all dey wanted was a country that breathes.
They raised dia flags not weapons.
They sang the anthem, not war songs, but dey answered peace with bullets.
That night, the sky turned red.
Dreams fell, one by one, onto the cold ground of Lekki.
Names became hashtags, and the air smelt of betrayal.
Nigerian youths the heartbeat of a dying nation lost lives, lost jobs, lost faith. Some lost families, others lost the will to believe.
And yet…some still dance for their oppressors, still clap for the same hands that pulled the trigger.
Love mixed with fear, stockholm syndrome in green and white.
But this day, 20/10/2020, will never be forgotten.
Not in dia bones,
not in dia blood,
not in the echoes of those who fell.
They may forgive, someday, but dey will never forget.
Because dia blood still whispers: Remember us.
So we remember not in silence,
but in truth, in rebellion, in the fire that refuses to die.
20/10/2020 , a wound, a warning, a wake-up call.
E no fit better for dem.
Dia Father's.
It is 5years today.
We will never forget.
We will always remember 20.10.20.
May those who died find rest.
May their families find consolation.
May their killers never know any peace.
Forever in our hearts. #EndSARS

Five years on, we can only remember to resist. It shouldn’t have been at the expense of your lives. Many deniers of your deaths are still in power. We failed you and Nigeria failed us all.
