Helpful review of all the things RFK Jr is (dangerously) wrong, wrong, wrong about.
What to know about RFK Jr.’s views on food, vaccines, abortion, and the FDA https://t.co/SpeYoozLp5
Important point: he doesn't modify his position based on evidence. It's all ideology.

With an anti-vaxxer and conspiracy theorist leading Health and Human Services, independent science communicators, who work hard (often unpaid) to provide life-saving information to our communities, will become even more important. Follow them, amplify them, and support them.

This is a smart, passionate, raw, honest thread from @_waleedshahid, one of the antiwar organizers behind @uncommittedmvmt and former spokesperson for @justice dems.
Worth an open-minded read:
Let’s break this down because yes *and* there’s more. First and foremost, if Trump wins it’s going to be because white voters continue to vote for him. The other side of the coin is if there is a softening in our coalition we lose. What does that mean? 🧵1/

This line from Harris got one of her biggest rounds of applause of the night.
Ordinary Dems clearly want to support Palestinian freedom & self determination.
If only the leaders in this country stopped acting like powerless bystanders & ensured freedom for the Palestinians.
Yesterday I shared this piece by me & 40 colleagues on the harms of the “lab leak” hypothesis inflicts on science & scientists.
I’m not finished talking about it. The origins “debate” has consumed my life for >4 years & I want to talk personally about the damage it has caused.

Democracy in crisis is more important than poll numbers. We seem unable, even now, to shift news coverage consistently towards the unprecedented unrolling of democratic and constitutional norms and the impending cataclysm. We should be listening not to pundits but to scholars of authoritarianism, historians, journalists from other countries that have seen democracy erode. We must shed the hubris that tells us we know how to cover this because we’ve covered politics before, and the belief that we must maintain old norms even in the face of an unparalleled moment in US history. Otherwise, we are not journalists but accomplices. The winners and losers here are not Democrats or Republicans, but democracy itself.
@MarkPopinchalk @FactsMachinePod LOL I had no clue, but glad that you felt very specifically seen! 😂 I feel like that's happened a few times actually (e.g. geology quiz)--might have to start looping you into show prep for fact-checking!
