@paulscott Great question. Spans are aligned at page boundaries, and the arena has an array that maps its pages to spans (areana.spans). So if you want to know what span an object is in, you can say "it's on the Nth page inside its arena" and find the corresp. span.
@MadDucks I'll be there to talk about the memory allocator, and we might have some other folks from the team there as well! Holler if you'd like to chat about honeycomb :)
@mipsytipsy @jcchavezs @honeycombio 👋 you can use a Zipkin tracer and Zipkin propagation format. Honeycomb's proxy/forwarder collects the spans and sends them along to Honeycomb for you to query. https://t.co/0OCcLq9cxJ
I'm at #KubeCon -- come talk to me about @honeycombio, observability for dist. systems, performance modelling, etc! Also have duct tape (for your infra needs)
Unspeakably excited to share our very first case study--how @intercom uses Honeycomb to see what their customers are *really* doing--and plan for the future of their service: https://t.co/ki0BShwvgv
