Comparing Giant Tiger and Loblaws Superstore prices is something I will never get tired of. Diet Pepsi - $1.25 at GT and $3.25 at Superstore. Chapman's Frozen Yogurt - $6.98 at GT and $9.85 at Superstore. Why are we making Galen Weston richer?
As long as I have known @yipengGe, he has been committed to equity, anti-racism and justice. He has been unjustly suspended from residency, without due process, for supporting Palestinian human rights. Please tell @OttawaU this is not OK. https://t.co/9ohHTVxOss
Know what matters more than fancy procedures and expensive medications?
Social determinants of health.
I can provide my patients with the best care in the world but if their parents can’t afford rent or food…
Well done to 🇨🇦 gynae researchers for confirming what we have long suspected: surgeries on female anatomy are reimbursed 28% less than equivalent surgeries on male anatomy ➡️ Structural double discrimination against female bodies and female surgeons.

Called lab today and spoke with tech who thanked me for being kind & respectful. They sounded broken. Why is it so hard for us to be decent to team members in healthcare? We're all on this sinking ship together, least we can do is have some humanity for each other.
As Canada invites (or poaches) healthcare workers from other countries, I think it's only ethical to inform them of the possibility of never practicing in their professional fields. These people should be notified that they might end up as retail, factory, and/or uber workers.

to deal with a patient with cardiac arrest. Patient died. Letter below supplied by @NSValley#Emergency@CAEP_Docs

Anyway, all this to say that kindness and empathy for each other goes so, so far. I really believe focusing on building truly cohesive and collaborative teams (beyond just nursing and medicine!! ) is key to reimagining our health system and improving care.
In my previous NP role I often worked alone & unsupported, it caused so much stress and long, long hours. Now, I still work mostly independently, but have the most wonderful collaborating physician who has made it clear he is always here for support when things don't feel right.
This means so much. I still work long hours (healthcare lol), but my job satisfaction, anxiety, and burnout have improved so much in my new team environment. I am learning, growing in my skills, and so much happier. Our team continues to grow with allied healthcare professionals.

Left a stressful and unsupportive job recently & took a risk joining a new team. New boss emailed our team today with some CME courses they would like to pay for and provide us with time to complete. The amount I had to fight for 3hr CME with my previous job, this is amazing😭
