It is not by accident that our so-called leading candidates comprise of the following:

—A former KANU youth winger, a certified tribalist, who supported the brutal one party dictatorship from the 1980s to 2002, became a billionaire selling air to Kenyans, a former deputy president who supported abductions, illegal detentions, torture and extrajudicial killings until he was impeached.

—A former KANU organizing secretary who supported the brutal one party dictatorship and detention without trial from the 1980s to 2002, a quintessential coward and hypocrite who became a billionaire selling air to Kenyans, and a man whose first name is Watermelon.

—A former powerful cabinet secretary whose only claim to fame are the number of civilians he abducted, illegally detained, tortured and murdered; the billions he stole by selling public land, military equipment and air; being a Mossad and CIA asset; the number of court orders he disobeyed; and the innumerable abuse of power and constitutional violations he engaged in.

—A former secretary general of a major political party and a legislator who has introduced zero legislation; supported the despotic and barbaric human rights violations of Uhuru Kenyatta; a man who took tens of millions kickbacks in Parliament and openly supported the extrajudicial killings from 2018 to 2024; a man whose signature graces the Blood-based MoU; a man being bankrolled by one of the most brutal and plundering slave owners; and a man with zero ideology, zero vision and 1000 kilograms of empty rhetoric and slogans.

—An alleged business tycoon who made billions selling air to Kenyans and military equipment to Savimbi and other anti-African warlords; a shadowy figure whose name appears in all past financial scandals such as the Goldenberg, Anglo-Leasing, Eurobond and SGR; a man who has never put in one hour of honest labour but is reportedly one of the wealthiest people around.

—A former chief justice who failed to eradicate corruption and incompetence in the judiciary for more than 6 years; a man who spent his entire life during the one party dictatorship quiet like an envelope, and who has zero ideology, zero vision and no ability to articulate even rudimentary ideas on governance.

—A former YK’92 coordinator who made billions of shillings selling air, public land and brutalizing Kenyans during the one party state; a pathological liar who has spent 4 years of his presidency lying, gallivanting abroad, grabbing land, plundering public resources, brutalizing Kenyans and impregnating young women.

And yet you keep yelling about change—something you don’t have the capacity to understand.

No neocolonial African state can experience constitutionalism until it is transformed structurally, architecturally, institutionally, systematically and culturally.

The ultimate aim is to build a truly independent Pan-African state which is merit-based, practices equity, aims at achieving dignity and social justice for all Africans.

To achieve that, we must OVERHAUL the neocolonial state—structurally, architecturally, institutionally, systematically and culturally.

Anyone who preaches constitutionalism without a clear ideology, a commitment for complete transformation and clearly articulates how to achieve the structural, architectural, institutional and cultural transformation is either a fraud, a bandit or one too ignorant to pay attention to.

Transformation is not about sloganeering or chants of WanTam or TwoTam; it’s a genuine and concrete ideological understanding and commitment.

Telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

KENYA remains a UNITARY STATE with DEVOLUTION used only for decorative purposes.

IF Kenyans want to realize EQUITY in governance and economic development, we must make Kenya a fully-fledged FEDERAL SYSTEM with very limited powers to the CENTRE based in Nairobi.

Genuine EQUITY will never be realized with the National Government controlling 85% of the country’s budget and 100% of power but with less than 20% real responsibilities over healthcare, education, infrastructure and other services.

15% of the audited national budget is not devolution; it’s a joke. I made this argument numerous times during the constitution making process but was shouted down by those who have benefited from the culture of corruption and impunity for decades. They refused to allow federalism or a full-fledged devolution because they feared equity.

The design, architecture, infrastructure and operation of the DEVOLUTION system in Kenya perpetuates CORRUPTION, mostly at the National level where no genuine accountability for the 85% of the national budget is realized and wanton theft of the paltry 15% of the net audited national budget given to the 47 counties.

A UNITARY STATE controlled by ORGANIZED TRIBAL BANDITS from Nairobi will continue to perpetuate unequal, inequitable and unjust exercise of power and utilization of resources.

Look at the world: Nearly all the technologically and economically developed countries are either federations or those which had been transformed through revolutions—Russia, China, USA, Germany—name them.

Telling the truth is a revolutionary act.
