@swodinsky I'd say that the original link you posted is vastly overstating what they can do. What's the marginal impact on ad targeting or news feed from visiting one website? And probably your icky feeling is because this is the same technique used in some forms of ad fraud

@__apf__ I think it's fine to walk the hills, my training strategy is to maintain a consistent intensity/HR zone and change the pace based on the terrain. When I trail run in the mountains, I hike any steep climbs moderately fast and it's about the same intensity as running!
@EarlenceF It has a 7-speed version! Curious about how you feel about increased weight coming from a light road bike. My initial thought is I want an ebike that is light enough to feel like a regular bike but not sure if that's worth compromising on the other features!
