As the day comes to an end, anticipation begins. On monday 13th July 2026 at exactly 9:00 AM, we unveil something exciting for Uganda's tourism sector. The countdown is on.
Ground has been broken for the construction of an Information Centre, restaurant and other tourism facilities at the Kikorongo Equator Monument in Kasese District.
The project will feature an interpretation centre, two thematic museums, a viewing deck, expanded parking, craft shops and a cultural market to boost tourism and support local communities.
