Reform says it can cut £50bn from Britain’s welfare bill.
30,000 signed off sick every day. 60,000 graduates straight onto benefits. One in four adults classed as disabled.
@DanielJHannan asks - what is going on with Britain’s welfare system?
@NorthCoastFi even better, pay the minimum payment until the payday before the expiry and clear it lump sum after checking for a zero fee balance transfer offer near the end. More cash/investments earning for longer.
🗣️ Mykhailo Mudryk: “After a long battle, the four-year ban that was imposed on me has been rescinded and I am free to resume my career with immediate effect.
“I am grateful that this process has reached a conclusion, that I have been cleared to return to football and that I can now look ahead to my future.
This has been the most difficult period of my career.
“As I have always maintained from the outset of this case, I have never knowingly or intentionally taken any banned substance. My commitment to competing fairly and representing my club and country with professionalism and integrity has always been important to me.
“I would like to thank my family and friends for their support and belief throughout this period.
“I also want to express my deep gratitude to everyone at Chelsea FC, my teammates and the Chelsea supporters who have been with me throughout.
I would also like to thank my legal team and others who assisted for their tireless work on my case.
“My focus now is on returning to football, working hard every day, and making a positive contribution on the pitch.
“Thank you to everyone who continued to believe in me. I look forward to the next chapter of my career.”
🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Chelsea reach verbal agreement with Aston Villa to sign Morgan Rogers. Bid of £117m accepted by #AVFC & being finalised. 6+1y contract, medical Monday. #AFC interested but 23yo attacker wanted #CFC; Xabi Alonso instrumental @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/81YbZw7ELc
@FynnCapital I have a month’s emergency fund in cash/premium bonds, with the rest in the market, matching my risk tolerance. I use 0% and reward credit cards, paying them off as needed. Even if the market crashes like 2008, I can cover over a year’s expenses with careful planning.
@Jiminvestments@FynnCapital incorrect Jim, slightly. The tax is on any interest earned on cash held in a Stocks & Shares ISA. No change to tax on interest earned on cash in a Cash ISA. Only the allowance going down from £20k to £12k for most people.
@TheParaInvestor Contribute enough to get the full employer pension match. Twice yearly, transfer most of it to a low-cost SIPP and invest mainly in broad-market ETFs, with some thematic exposure. Then max your S&S ISA, use a GIA up to your CGT allowance, then reassess.
🗣️ Xabi Alonso on Enzo Fernandez's future. "We have spoken. As you can understand, what was said remains private."
Do you want to keep him? "Yeah. Yeah."
