The first time we discovered Flap was because of $FDOG.

We still remember when X Layer started gaining momentum last year. That was when we first came to Flap.

What caught our attention first wasn’t any complicated mechanism.

It was a dog on the page.

Later, we learned that the dog was Cheems. But for us at the time, $FDOG had already become our gateway to discovering Flap and participating in its ecosystem.

The story was simple:

A new launchpad.
A group of people just coming together.
And a dog everyone could remember.
We were part of that early story.
We watched $FDOG on X Layer start from its early launch stage, complete its launch, and gradually build its own community.

As the community grew stronger, along with the attention and support of people like @eth_cedric, more and more people discovered $FDOG.

According to AVE data at the time, $FDOG reached a peak market cap of around $6M.

For an early community token on a new platform, it became a moment many of us still remember today.

To us, $FDOG was never just the name of a token.

It carries the memory of our first experience with Flap.

Even today, the familiar Cheems avatar still occasionally appears on Flap — a small reminder of those early days and where this story began.

Over time, Flap has continued to evolve.

Its interface, products, and mechanics have changed along the way.

And the dog changed too.

Today, on Flap’s tax-free token creation page, we noticed another dog:

A muscular dog wearing sunglasses and a gold chain.

From what we learned from @webhogwatrs, this dog currently has no name, and there are no plans to name it for now.

But the moment we saw it, it reminded us of the original $FDOG.

From X Layer to BSC, we’ve watched the Flap team continuously improve the product, while more creators and communities have found their way here.

We genuinely hope to see Flap continue to grow and succeed.

And we believe the story of its early community deserves to be told again.

Doge was the beginning of dog memes.
