Nobody thinks is voting for ceasefire will mean it immediate implementation of it, but it would mean we knew as a people where we stood. We do know that now, but the way the Labour MPs are playing some moral high ground about why they didn’t, and what kier is doing is sickening.

This morning we were informed about a boat reported to have been carrying 45 people that had landed south of Palios, Lesvos north east the previous night.

After arriving the group fled to the Woods in the surrounding area to hide from Greek authorities, fearing that if they were found they would be illegally returned to Turkey.

They told us that they were two small children, a pregnant woman, and a woman with injuries to her hand in the group.

They provided documentation on their presence on the island, pictures, videos and location data left no doubt that the groups was on Lesvos.

We provided them with the necessary information, so that they themselves could contact local organizations for help.

After five hours the group informed us that the organization had arrived, and that they were waiting for a bus to take them to camp.

Kudos to all actors involved, without their interventions these cases most likely would have a different outcome.

Their solidarity entails fences, deterrence and the criminalisation of humanitarian aid.

That is not solidarity, but being partners in crime.
