Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you. And you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use.
you need to be obsessed with the problem you wanna solve in this world.
you need to be very deep down the rabbit hole.
a deep founder-problem-fit is a must.
deeply know who you are.
deeply know what you want to do in this world.
once you figured out those 2 things, just wake up every day and get after it.
and stay in the game long enough to get lucky.
great founders are irrepressible forces of nature. they make themselves known. they don’t need your advice. they will find information if they think they need it.
“we’re going to look back at 2026 as the year that every single business was up for grabs. that you can rebuild every single business AI-native and have a massive advantage.” -tl
“you have to decide who you will become, and you have to believe it. you have to not fall into the traps of humility or smallness and you have to be bold and claim it, because truthfully no one else is going to claim it for you. they will pull you to the middle. 🧵
and you have to be willing to push everyone else’s opinion aside. you have to know it in your bones and believe it regardless of what others may believe. dig deep and get in touch with your own instincts around who you truly know you are capable of becoming and stand in that.
so what does this ‘crowning yourself’ even means?
it’s not waiting for a coronation to happen in the world around you. it’s not waiting for anyone to tell you what you can and can’t accomplish, earn or become.
it is only you.
in fact many people are happy to drag you down. you have to be resilient and fight for what you want and hold your lines internally and sometimes externally and you have to see it with very clear eyes.
people who know what they are great at and not being a jerk or arrogant about it, but have the ability to surface what they are great at and bring that to the world and other people connecting with it and finding value in it, that’s how we get the best of everything in life.
If you are doing something in this world that you are proud of and you don’t put forth what you are good at and don’t own it, then other people who seek & value that ability or skill will never find and connect with you and overlook you because of your decisions and choices.
questions we need to ask more often:
what is a job and what is a task?
are we going to automate a job or a task?
if a task is automated, how the job changes?
