@Jonathan_Blow One thing that really puzzles me is that people usually pick a really contrived example and try to make an elaborate point. But usually their arguments fall apart with more complex (real world) examples.
I mean, I get why they're doing it, but doesn't everyone else also?
@increpare@ArmandDAngour I would say that the majority of people just blindly accept what is the default font in MS Word (Arial, Times New Roman etc). These are behaving nicely, so it's not such a huge issue as you might think.
This is probably too niche, but for the people who are having issues creating ST SNDH files out of their Arkos Tracker 3 tunes, and after doing this personally quite a few times recently (for others), I created a very barebones web converter:

Forgot to post this here, but better late than never:

It's been a week since our small gathering of #Atari people happened. But we've been busy ever since, so now we're happy to present you the dedicated site we've built, containing a report plus all the releases running on your browser!
Yesterday we finally released the game I've been working on for the past few months!
Tony - Montezuma's Gold is out on
#atarist and compatibles! Full game available for purchase here https://t.co/75Z3zkzap0 or pre-order a physical copy from https://t.co/ekkYKq26q2.
Just saying, the Greek translation has been done by yours truly. If you belong to the Venn diagram intersection of "Want to learn Greek" "Play videogames" and "Actually like frustrating platformers", it's your lucky day!
@Jonathan_Blow There must also be some correlation with the fact that programming tools are proggressively getting less features, and people simply never learn what the old IDEs could to do.
Back in the 90s you could literally do things like "Halt on this instruction when this register is X".
