After a year and a half of blood, sweat, and tears, we are SO excited to announce the launch of our book, "On Their Shoulders: The Women Who Pave the Way in Nova Scotia Politics" 📕✨
Here's how you can buy a book and support our cause ↓

Yesterday, we celebrated the Women in Politics Scholarship with a reception at @CoxandPalmer! Very thankful for the support of my firm.
@_graceevans and I founded the scholarship with the proceeds from our book, On Their Shoulders. It's helped 7 women at @DalhousieU since 2021.
Back at our old stomping grounds for an evening to celebrate the @DalhousieU community. So great to get an invite for our Women in Politics Scholarship that continues to support two women students each year!
We're so pleased to welcome Sarah Dobson, the newest member of our Halifax litigation team! Sarah co-wrote a book called “On Their Shoulders: The Women Who Paved the Way in Nova Scotian Politics”, profiling the first 50 female MLA’s in Nova Scotia. https://t.co/lDxG1sRjfb
Why is it that people always feel the need to add a disclaimer when they’re throwing any sort of support behind someone from a different political party? Can’t we just all agree that harassment is wrong no matter who is on the receiving end and leave it at that?
@cafreeland, you know that our governments have a lot of serious disagreements. But you’re always more than welcome to come and visit us here in the province where you grew up & your family lives! As are all Canadians.
Thank you to outgoing Nova Scotia Liberal Party leader @IainTRankin for his dedication to our party and province! Best wishes to him, Mary, and Freya!

Pierre Poilievre has made no statement on the US Supreme Court decision on abortion. The Prime Minister has, Charest has, Patrick Brown has. Jagmeet Singh has. Some politicians don't want you to know where they stand on important issues. They skate over the ambiguity. By design.
The final paragraph of the three liberals' Dobbs dissent:
"With sorrow—for this Court, but more, for the many millions of American women who have today lost a fundamental constitutional protection—we dissent. "
When people say Pierre Poilievre is an “effective” politician, remember that Trump was also considered so, and this is where we are today because of it.
Breaking News: The Supreme Court overruled Roe v. Wade, eliminating the constitutional right to abortion in a decision that will lead to all but total bans on the procedure in about half of the U.S. Chief Justice John Roberts voted with the majority. https://t.co/KiIUF7WKC1
This is beyond the pale: Ted Cruz blaming an unlocked back door for a school massacre perpetrated by someone with an assault weapon? That’s his argument.
IMHO these types of dramatic media events do nothing but *maybe* appeal to partisans who were already voting for you and make you seem out of touch/petty to undecideds.
And this is coming from someone who can’t possibly understand how Doug Ford still has a shot 🤷🏼♀️
New: Liberal candidate Mitzie Hunter calls Doug Ford the "conductor" of a gravy train. She says his government gave out 16 patronage appointments to PC candidates who ran and lost in 2018 #onpoli
One hour left of one of my favorite days of the year, so I had to reflect on some of my best memories of celebrating women over the years. #IWD
So grateful — not just today, but everyday — to have so many amazing women to look up to in the crazy world of politics 💕
