@JeremyNicolls It seems like it’s more on Klutch than Denver. No doubt they have offered a contract but PWat wants more $. Denver has no reason to budge. Klutch trying whatever it can to get him more $. Clippers kind of stuck waiting on the Kawhi stuff
@RevivedGamerHD@NBABlackburn I think there’s an order they could do it in where it’s legal - S&T for PWat first which puts them over the cap and lets them use the exception for Rui
@Adam_Mares I thought taking back salary hard caps them AT the 2nd apron? Even after waiving and stretching Val, they would basically be right there or maybe slightly over after factoring in minimum contracts for the remaining roster spots
@HPbasketball League really should adopt the NFL model with compensatory picks. Deals above a certain threshold of the cap become picks in between Rd 1 and Rd 2, smaller deals above a lesser threshold become picks after Rd 2
@JaredWeissNBA Whereas I believe they did it with intent to drive his price up. If you’re the Warriors and you see Denver and Minnesota above you in the LeBron sweepstakes you gotta make a move/offer more $
@Adam_Mares It’s interesting to me that they listed Cam and no CB. PWat kind of makes sense since he isn’t signed. But does make me wonder if Denver has either committed to them that they’re keeping Cam if they get Bron and/or PWat would be gone (S & T?) if Bron signs with Den
@RFreemyer It makes sense with offense off the bench but I just can’t see them surviving with Tyus/Julian/Thybulle/CB/Spencer/Bagley as the main bench guys. Would need Cam and or Jamal staggering
@NBABlackburn I’m guessing at least one contingency with PWat or Cam involves getting back a backup 2/3 which would make Bruce obsolete. Or maybe Bruce said I don’t wanna be 3rd string so let’s see how it plays out
@NBABlackburn Could they sign (MLE-ish money?) and trade him for Cam? I don’t know how the cap rules work with that sort of thing. I imagine they would want to waive Jonas first to get under the 1st apron?
@HarrisonWind Is it possible that instead of double per year he means overall money? So old offer was 2x2 for 4 mil, maybe new offer is 3x3 for 9 mil, something like that
@jmorton78 Lakers I doubt. They have a hole at C and another starter with LeBron gone. Are they really going to tie up cap space on PWat and potentially end up with nothing? I doubt it. LAC are more concerning. They aren’t going to contend so they won’t mind waiting it out
