Last year during fieldwork we observed turtles scoping out potential nest sites to deposit their eggs in the middle of the study site parking lot.
As turtles hatch, mate, and seek food and shelter please be careful to avoid wildlife-vehicle collisions #worldturtleday

Cyanobacteria can produce toxins within freshwater bodies. @_hadeelabed uses metagenomics to investigate potential toxic cyanobacteria genes in Ontario.
Her research is part of #forWaterNetwork's initiative to study & manage forested watersheds.

What's more spooky than harmful algal blooms in Canada’s watersheds?

The Müller lab, a part of the #forWaterNetwork, created a diorama of algae blooms in the different parts of the water column and won 1st prize at the @WaterlooSci grad student pumpkin contest!
