@dwenmoth This is such a great article, so important that children are still being prioritised and supported through their education in such uncertain times for all!
@mrkempnz A6: I think creating an environment that's inclusive is helpful as a foundation for any tactics and strategies. Often I've found through personal experience that having a team/board of people that is exclusively dedicated to improving feedback culture is very beneficial!
@McKinnonAl A5: I think this is so important! I believe we should be in a partnership with the whanau as their role in the home is detrimental to how a child can learn. If you are not in unity of perspective it will reflect in the learners work.
@Amyy_yymA @McKinnonAl Yes! He was (and is) a saviour who sees children as capable of so much! I hope I can teach with this firm understanding that all learners are valuable.
@McKinnonAl I passionately believe the answer is yes to this. I think every child has the capacity to achieve whatever they dream of (with support, guidance teaching), as naïve as that may sound. I cherish the belief that children can become whatever they may desire.
@LisaGrayson2803 @McKinnonAl Thank you Lisa! I think we can steer behaviour in small ways to help learners make the right choices! I think it would be a matter of tackling big moral issues with small corrections: sharing, physical contact, language, bias etc can be seen in the classroom and shifted.
@McKinnonAl A3: I think Jesus saw children as the hope of the world, and believed anything was possible for them. Also that every generation could rewrite the wrongs of those before them. I love this belief and build my life upon it. #CSCEDchatNZ
@McKinnonAl A1: I would say I disagree with this perspective, as I personally believe that children can't be seen as 'blank', they each bring something so unique and individual that impacts the way they learn! Each have had a past that creates a very full canvas that we get to add upon.
Most people don’t need to worry about attending public events or going to school – practising good hand hygiene will do the most to keep you safe and well. The risk of an ongoing outbreak of #COVID19 in New Zealand remains low. https://t.co/0otI1PU7nu
