people at any age can be stupid. the reason "younger" (relative) ones feel dumber than you is because they're disproportionately experience-blind (they haven't done/seen the things that make their dumbness "obvious" in retrospect)

its more helpful to them if you actually explain what that experience is that they're missing rather than just dismissing them for being young
