International Day of the Girl Child!
Our beloved Prophet Muhammad, the Prophet of Mercy, says: “Whoever has three girl children and he cares for them, he is merciful to them, and he clothes them, then Paradise is certainly guaranteed for him.”
It was said, “O Messenger of Allah, what if he has only two?” The Prophet said, “Even two.” (Musnad Ahmad: 14247).
Each and every day is a day for our girl child. We must educate, teach, shelter, protect her, and always treat her as she is a princess and a diamond in our community.
Remember, she could one day become a mother. Indeed, a mother is a university as we all attended the universities of our mothers even before our formal education.
May Allah continue to bless all our girls, our sisters, our daughters, our spouses, and our mothers, both late and alive, as they were girls before.
