The statistics are harrowing. However, each datapoint represents a person. We cannot forget that. We need system responsiveness and accountability from the City of Hamilton to reduce these numbers to 0.
Homelessness has prematurely killed 21 people in Hamilton.
Today we release our fifth dataset on deaths among people deprived of housing in Hamilton. The average age of death was 46.

Given the increased policing that encampments have seen over the past few years, we are reminded of the impact of encampment enforcement pushing people to the margins. Out of the support of their communities.
