@ridd_design@JacobyBrandon I’ve been saying this for a while. Claude Design is amazing and it’s a create prototyping tool at the moment, but it’s not really a design tool. Hopefully they can unlock that in the near future.
@skirano Figma MCP is incredibly tough to work with. I’ve been exclusively using the desktop bridge MCP, it’s significantly better when working in Figma. Also, Paper consistently out performs Figma in agentic design (by a wide margin). Need to retry MagicPath for sure.
The real shift: when the cost of a design variation drops to zero, people start requesting versions they never would have asked a human to make.
More experiments. Faster iteration. Better output.
AI agents shouldn’t replace your tools. They should live inside them.
I built an AI agent that watches every Figma file on our team and generates design mocks from comments.
No app. No dashboard. The entire interface is a Figma comment.
Here’s how it works 🧵
3 things I learned building this:
1. The best AI interfaces are invisible. A Figma comment is the interface. Zero learning curve.
2. Preservation beats recreation. Copy real components > rebuild from scratch. Always.
3. Headless Claude is wildly underrated.
