I am at my sister's house, and her 6-year-old daughter just gave me a little gist.
By 6:16 a.m., she was already dressed for school. I asked her if there was hot water in their bathroom. She looked confused, so I rephrased:
"Did you bathe with cold water?"
She replied:
"I didn't bathe in our bathroom. My daddy bathed me in his bathroom." 😄
I smiled and felt proud of my brother-in-law.
This may upset some feminists but I don't care.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with a loving father bathing his young child whether a boy or a girl.
That's part of parenting.
Me buying my boiled corn as usual, then over head this guy on the phone yelling and saying “why did you allow them go to school, are you not aware of what’s happening “
I had to wait for him to finished talking, then asked what he meant..
He said and I quote “They wrote a letter to their community that Bandits will be attacking schools on their area.
And I ask myself has it gotten to this level
A person who instantly believes one person over another without knowing the facts is a dangerous person.
Truth deserves investigation, not blind loyalty.
Listen. Think. Then judge.
Randomly remembered a guy in Nigeria that was madly inlove with this girl, they had a child together but immediately he relocated abroad, story changed.
His mum wanted him to get a citizen by all means & he did but he kept in touch with his baby mama to a point that his wife got uncomfortable (she was aware he had a child cos of support but lied that he was emotionally done).
Whenever he’s around, the baby mama comes under the disguise to greet him & discuss his child’s welfare but they end up undressing. One time, his wife followed him to Nigeria & hell was let loose but because his mum was bent on him being a citizen, she took the girl’s picture to a prophet. They tied their pictures backing themselves.
When he’s away,be forgets her but immediately he sees her when he comes, his heart softens. This lady is so beautiful & curvy, hasn’t been able to settle down despite having suitors cos of her emotional attachment to that guy.
The child isn’t with her yet….
This is no longer a joking matter. Before when I was still in college 1m used to be a very big fund.
With 1m you can start a building project and feed comfortably but now 1m can’t even solve a month problem.
God help us all
This morning, our church hosted a wedding. The groom is 42, the bride is 36; they'd been dating for three years. He'd traveled abroad, did well for a while, then came back to Nigeria with nothing left. Through all of it, she stayed.
Our pastor told them to stop waiting and settle down. So they had a mini wedding during today's service.
Then he announced that everything realised in church today would go to the couple.
Before he even finished talking, people were already coming forward with more.
By the end, the couple walked away with ₦2.3 million, two years' rent paid, and six new outfits each.🥰❤️
What life skill should everyone learn before age 24?
Mine: Managing money,
Because in Nigeria, earning money is one challenge. Keeping it is another.
What's yours?
He was the second born in a family of 10 and the only one doing well financially. He wasn't just taking care of himself; he was feeding his older brother and his brother's family too. Almost every phone call he received was from a family member asking for one thing or another.
I sat back and thought about it. If I married him, his responsibilities would only increase. And if one day he could no longer meet everyone's needs the way he does now, wouldn't I be labeled the "bad wife" who came and stopped him from helping his family?
“You’re 42 years old, and I managed to get you a man. He asked for bride price, and your parents are bringing almost ₦12 million as bride price list.
Forty-two years old oo, no children, never been married, and you have mind to be asking for such amount as bride price.
Now you’re telling me that you’ve been calling him, he’s not picking your calls and has blocked you. I know what I went through before connecting you with that man. It’s now clear that your village people are the ones doing you.”
Matchmaker fumes as 42-year-old woman loses potential husband after her family presented a bride price list worth ₦12 million.
Me: Her village people really strong😂
My auntie used to reject every man because she was scared of “marrying the wrong person.”
Family members mocked her for being unmarried at 38.
Then she finally met a “perfect gentleman.” Calm. Prayerful. Well spoken. Everybody celebrated her patience.
Three months after the wedding, she found out he had two kids nobody knew about and a fiancée in another state he was still sending money to.
That was the day she told my mum:
“Time doesn’t automatically reveal character. Some people just hide longer.
"The IMF reported 63% of Nigerians are living in poverty. It also pointed out that 27 million Nigerians are living in food insecurity. They are saying that the people are suffering, and the recommendations of the IMF is to tax them more."

I don't even know how to go to bed with this heavy heart 💔😭
There is this lady on tiktok that makes really interesting videos with her maid Precious. The girl looks very happy and well taken care of and she has somehow become a member of the family.
Last year, she posted that the girl's father said he wanted to come and visit them and enjoy with them small. But she told him her husband did not approve or so. Obviously, someone has been sharing the videos they make with him.
Not long after he started demanding that the girl be sent back or he will go diabolical on them. Afraid of what would happen to the girl's future if she returned, this lady's family did everything to keep the girl from going back, they even went ahead to pay her bride price ( I don't know what that means). Still the man insisted.
At a point, it was said that the man was her uncle not her father and he said precious should be returned and replaced with his own daughter or so...
Last last, the girl was returned and she was greatly missed.
Tonight I was scrolling through tiktok and saw the woman's obituary. She died less than a month after the girl left her house from a brief illness.
She was such a beautiful soul, her son will grow up not experiencing the amazing woman his mother is😭💔
Growing up, my mom usually supplies this rich woman in our neighborhood foodstuffs. Most times, I'd be the one to deliver the items to their house.
She had a house girl and from everything we saw outside, everyone concluded that she was an evil madam because as opposed to her children, the house girl was always dressed in different clothes, not the rich and nice ones her children had
My mom had issues with her goods one time and she had to go to Ibadan, my dad was away at work and she didn't want to leave me alone at the shop, so she begged the madam to let me stay at her place till she got back, it was just for a couple of hours.
While I was there, out of curiosity, I asked the house girl why her madam didn't buy her clothes whenever she buys for her children. The girl laughed and showed me to her room, come and see the items the woman got her, ranging from dope shoes to bags and clothes. Me that stays with my mother sef, I don't have half of it.
When asked why she chose to dress in old clothes, she said she was saving the new ones for when she returns to her village, she was going to rock the new clothes there and show off to people who always made fun of her mother for allowing her work as a maid.
Till date, I still didn't understand that concept.
Don't b quick to judge others
One reason why I will always go for barbed wire and that long long chuku chuku thing.
This electric fence looks like fancy. Because why will your house be easily accessible with electric fence.
Y'all be safe out there!!
As expected, Adams Oshiomhole went on a full 90-minute podcast with Seun.
❌ He did not discuss the state of the nation.
❌ He didn’t discuss the insecurity that k!lled military generals.
❌ He didn’t discuss the kidnapped underage girls held by terrorists for months.
❌ He didn’t discuss kidnapped victims being r@ped and recorded by terrorists.
❌ He didn’t discuss the teacher beheaded by terrorists.
❌ He didn’t discuss the hike in cooking gas.
❌ He didn’t discuss Tinubu’s achievements over the past three years.
He and Seun spent over 90 minutes talking about Peter Obi. Seun never interrupted him even when he lied about Peter Obi. A very terrible and dishonest journalist @seunokin.
You wonder why they don’t go to Arise TV for this kind of nonsense?
Do you know the actual danger of unprotected sex?
The infected person 85% of the time is aware of their condition, and probably they've begun treatment.
While you that loves it raw will have to wait until symptoms starts showing to know you've been infected.
Unfortunately, the infection could have started damaging your organs and you're quarter to go.
