Congratulations to Coach Dowling '91 who was recognized by the FL Heads of School for over 30 years of dedication to AOF. The winningest coach in program history, RD has helped thousands of students as a teacher and administrator & placed hundreds of players in college.
Excited to be joining the Bourne Braves as a member of the coaching staff this upcoming summer. Extremely grateful for the opportunity to work with a great organization and contribute to the winning tradition they have built.

2025 Eastlake Challenge complete! A week long of team competitions ending today with our final gauntlet. Great all-around team effort. Team Mair takes it home.
SPACING!
We have to put our body in a position to have space for the swing to work.
Whether this is in the setup (posture/hand position) or once we get going (front foot landing position/scissor kick), it is a MUST to consistently barrel up balls with backspin.
ROUND OF ONE.
A common flaw in most amateur hitters is a lack of focus on each swing.
Introduced rounds of one to some of our guys. Intense focus on executing one swing at a time.
Result? More Barrels, Cleaner Swings
It’s not always a mechanical issue, just lack of focus.
I went from a 7.0 to 6.5 in two years.
1. Learn proper sprint mechanics
2. Run sprints (Short & Long)
3. Incorporate plyometrics
4. Get in the weight room
Can you teach speed? I don’t know, but you can definitely develop it
Being an average to below average runner is a choice.
