A good idea for any neighborhood.
Plan and be sure to have medic staff nearby.
If no neighbors or yourself has no access to a medic then groom a child or two for this noble service and hopefully by the time that kid grows into the role the civil war will not have started. Involve the neighborhood to support the effort. Plan for defense in game and comradery over a meal, cookout etc.
As a way to get to know your neighbors thru friendship and trust; any like minded individuals will produce calm and fun rather than a possible upset of the less bold.
Know the police employees and fire dept employees and know who is there to follow orders and who is up to the task of protecting the US constitution via rebellion if necessary in the event of invasion by non-US-citizens or those with hostile intent, communistic tendencies, anti-1A-2A propagandists and fear mongers

Jim Abrahams gave the world "Surely you can't be serious." Then his eleven-month-old, Charlie, developed an epilepsy so violent the seizures came in the dozens, sometimes a hundred in a single day, while he was already on a fistful of medications.

The specialists were not short of opinions. The family visited the best neurologists in America. The verdict was a life of continued seizures and what one doctor called progressive retardation. Brain surgery was floated. More drugs were floated. A change of diet never came up, because not one of those specialists thought to raise it.
